Solid wood : Solid wood furniture is a natural product and may show color variations, cracks and other natural characteristics. These features are normal and may be due to natural variation in the wood. Each piece of wood is unique, so no two pieces of solid wood furniture look exactly alike. It is important to note that these natural features are not an indication of inferior quality.
Surface treatment: All of our solid wood products are finally treated with a natural hard wax oil (certificate available). Hardwax Oil is a natural surface treatment for wood. It consists of natural oils and waxes such as linseed oil, soybean oil, beeswax and carnauba wax. These ingredients penetrate deep into the wood and form a protective layer that protects the wood from moisture and wear.
Unlike chemical surface treatments, Hardwax Oil contains no harmful chemicals or solvents, making it environmentally friendly.
